Basingstoke Knee Osteotomy Masterclass
Hybrid event inc. Live Medical Broadcasts
The Basingstoke Knee Osteotomy Masterclass (BKOM) is a 2 day conference that is also streamed online for an international audience using a multi-camera and multi-source production that also incorporates live and interactive surgical procedures, utilising our specialist Mediview broadcasting service.
This conference was a true hybrid, providing conference presentations and live interactive surgery with all content streamed to a large international audience, extending the usual reach of the event. Sli.do Q&A was utlised, with a tablet provided to the panel, allowing them to see incoming questions from both sets of audiences with ease.
On both days of this masterclass conference, our unique medical broadcast service ‘Mediview HD’ was in use, which provides high definition and direct feeds of medical imaging equipment, as well as multi-camera sources and 2-way communication between the operators/theatre team and the panel/audience at the conference to create truly interactive live case broadcasts for the purpose of training and education.
In addition, hands-on sawbone workshops were held in a breakout room at the venue, for which we provided a camera relay, head mic and PA system to enhance the delegate experience of the demonstrations.
Throughout the event we provided all physical AV support, live streaming, support to remote presenters that dialled in to the conference, a full Mediview HD broadcast team and a UK office based team to provide assistance to the online delegates where required, ensuring all involved had a smooth experience.
Having well established subspecialties within our company Mediview HD (HD medical broadcasts) Talking Slides (e-conference platform) and our physical production company (formally ESW Solutions). We are able to undertake projects such as this with complete confidence within our own team as we have specialists with years of experience in all the different disciplines required to produce a project of this size and complexity.
"I just wanted to extend my personal thanks to all involved in the osteotomy course. The ark organisation, technical team input, and theatre team were all brilliant; and served to deliver a very smooth course."
