Hybrid event
This is an AGM for a large medical association. Whilst this clearly wasn't possibly as a physical meeting for all members as it has been held traditionally, our client was very keen to have 5 key members of the committee together as a panel, with the chairman leading the proceedings remotely.
It was important that the virtual audience were enabled to ask questions and partake in voting. It was a challenge to put this together and comply with the government's Covid restrictions at the time, but with our Talking Slides platform, some remote cameras and forward planning it was an amazing success. Delegate numbers were up on previous, as was audience interaction. It seemed members were more confident to submit questions by text to the chairman than stand up and voice them at a physical event.
As well as the panel delivering their elements of the AGM from the venue, council members who were unable travel or attend via Zoom pre-recorded their presentations with our super-friendly recording teams, which were then edited in to custom branded videos which were played out ‘as-live’ during the event as per the agenda.
Following the AGM was the annual awards ceremony, again traditionally a physical event, but this year it would be a virtual affair. Produced in the same room as the AGM, this was led by the president live. All members were invited to watch the stream live with all nominees in a virtual green room ready to take their place on the virtual main stage to give a live acceptance speech should they be a prize winner.
This event ran like clockwork, all winners were with us and the virtual awards were a tremendous success!
